About JLT Construction

tillamook contractor
Chuck Boomer is a son and a 1999 graduate of Tillamook High School who was in the delayed enlistment program with the Air Force during high school. He returned to the family business from the Air Force, after four years, as a veteran of two foreign wars. Chuck communicates with the customers and the subcontractors on a daily basis. He has a vast knowledge of building from the excavation part of a project on, but his forte is staying up-to-date in the most current techniques in exterior waterproofing against coastal conditions, framing, siding, interior woodwork detail, and all other finishing touches. In his spare time, Chuck likes to travel, hunt, shoot guns, and hang-out with his Boxer dog, Terrick.

Bill Taylor has worked for his uncle since he was 15. He was born and raised in this area and is now raising a family of his own. There isn’t a piece of heavy equipment that Bill can’t operate perfectly for JLT. Bill is a talented craftsman in all facets of building. If you can give him a rough sketch or a picture of something you want, Bill can build it, such as mantles, stairway design, and floors. Bill likes to fish in his free time.

Allen is another son who has worked for JLT for a couple of years. He is a 2002 graduate of Warrenton High School and is currently enrolled at TBCC. Allen is learning the building trade at this point but has great teachers and is a quick study. Allen’s job description is as a carpenter’s assistant, and he is responsible for the presentation and order of the job sites. It is easier to function when sites are neat and tidy. Allen loves fishing, and hunts as often as he can.

Joseph “Toby” Taylor started building at 12 with his dad. He is a graduate of Neah-Kah-Nie High School. After high school, he graduated from tech school with a degree in electronics. He returned home to build after tech school and started his own business in 1984 and was licensed and bonded with the state in 1985. He has been building residential and small commercial projects ever since. He has a vast knowledge of what it takes to build for the Oregon coastal weather, but has also built in Black Butte and was hired to build an office building in Battle Ground. Toby’s talents lie in the fact that he is extremely good at listening, thoughtful to what the customers’ desires are, and will jump in with ideas to benefit any project. Toby is very organized and extremely skilled in his building trade, but tile work is his passion. He does amazing tile work! He has given Chuck and Bill the knowledge they need to be the qualified and extremely good builders that they are. Toby and his wife, Theresa (who runs the office), have five children and six grandchildren, and two Boxer puppies. Toby is an avid hunter, fisherman, hiker, but likes to dabble in golf and travel when time allows.
