Working in the Rain
The ground floor frame work is nearly complete. It won’t be long now before this home really starts to take shape. You’ll notice our crew is wearing their trusty rain gear – we never let a little rain slow us down.
The Bones of a New Home
And, so it begins! The framing is well underway and before you know it, the skeleton of this house will be complete. Our highly skilled crew has been doing this a long time – we know how important each process is. You won’t find a team more focused and precise in their construction than ours!
Time to Start Framing!
The 2×4’s are here! Now that the foundation is complete, we’re ready to start framing the walls of this custom home. Constructing the foundation and framing are crucial steps in the building process – both work together to provide strength and stability for the new structure.
The Foundation is Complete!
The concrete foundation has been completed! This is a crucial step in the building process. Our skilled crew at JLT Construction worked hard to build the strongest foundation possible which will eventually bear the weight of this beautiful custom home.
The Gravel is Here!
The gravel is here! We’re getting ready to lay down and then pack a solid gravel base before we pour concrete. We need a strong gravel base to prevent the concrete from cracking and shifting, especially in this sandy location. Each day out here at Nedonna Beach we get one step closer to finishing this beautiful home’s foundation.
Compacting Sand is Hard Work!
Here’s Toby working the day away, running the compactor to smooth out and level all that sand. We’re preparing for the next step of laying gravel for this custom Nedonna Beach home’s foundation.
Custom Homes in Nedonna Beach
Since we’re out here building a gorgeous, custom beach house, here’s a little Nedonna Beach history for you all. Believe it or not, Nedonna Beach wasn’t always beautiful beach lots, it was once a dairy farm. Robert Riley, the man behind this beach community, married a woman named Geneva Donna, who then became known as Geneva Riley nee Donna – hence the name Nedonna Beach.
The Stem Wall is Ready for Concrete
The stem wall is up and ready for concrete! This expertly built stem wall will provide a solid base for the Nedonna Beach home we’ve been working on. In a moisture-rich area like this, a raised platform for the walls is extremely important. All the homes we build must meet our high JLT standards and are built to stand the test of time. This home will surely be enjoyed for countless generations to come!
The Boss is Getting the Job Done!
Happy 4th of July from all of us at JLT Construction! We have a hard time taking a break once we get started on a project, even if it’s a holiday. Don’t worry, Toby will surely be relaxing later and watching some fireworks. But first, he’s determined to finish setting these snap ties on the stem wall.
We’re Working Hard in Nedonna Beach!
Here’s Chuck busy at work, cutting rebar for the concrete stem wall over at the Nedonna Beach site. We take great pride in each one of the custom homes we build and it all starts with a solid foundation.
